Of the many gifts you could ever hope to receive, there is one that stands out above all others. It is a gift from God to mankind. Jehovah has given us many things, but his greatest gift to us is the ransom sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ. (Matthew 20:28) As we will see in this chapter, the ransom is the most valuable gift you could possibly receive, for it can bring you untold happiness and can fill your most important needs. Are Jehovah’s Witnesses a sect or a cult?

Some define sect to mean a group that has broken away from an established religion. Others apply the term to a group that follows a particular human leader or teacher. The term is usually used in a derogatory way. Jehovah’s Witnesses are not an offshoot of some church but include persons from all walks of life and from many religious backgrounds. They do not look to any human, but rather to Jesus Christ, as their leader.

A cult is a religion that is said to be unorthodox or that emphasizes devotion according to prescribed ritual. Many cults follow a living human leader, and often their adherents live in groups apart from the rest of society. The standard for what is orthodox, however, should be God’s Word, and Jehovah’s Witnesses strictly adhere to the Bible. Their worship is a way of life, not a ritual devotion. They neither follow a human nor isolate themselves from the rest of society. They live and work in the midst of other people.

Do not forget kindness to strangers, for through it some, unknown to themselves, entertained angels.”

KINDNESS TO STRANGERS A RESPONSIBILITY
 

Kindness to all men, as the Son of God explained so forcefully, is a Christian responsibility. The apostle of Jesus Christ admonishes us to keep this responsibility always in mind; Paul wrote: “Let your brotherly love continue. Do not forget kindness to strangers, for through it some, unknown to themselves, entertained angels.” What rewards came to Abraham, Lot and Manoah because they were kind to all men! They entertained angels and received blessings from the Most High, because they never forgot “kindness to strangers.”—Heb. 13:1, 2; Gen. 18:1-10; 19:1-29; Judg. 13:8-20.

How can Christians today show kindness to strangers?

By following the example of Jesus Christ. He showed kindness to all persons, and the most important way he did this was by inviting others to feast upon spiritual food, the truths concerning the “kingdom of the heavens.” To advance the interests of God’s kingdom Jesus showed kindness in every way. Right from the beginning of his ministry he showed hospitality to strangers so as to help them spiritually.

A través de  alteraciones en los ganglios linfáticos y el suero de la sangre 10). Comer alimentos cocinados en el microondas provoca pérdida de memoria, falta de concentración, inestabilidad emocional, y una disminución de  la inteligencia.   Todavía no has tirado tu microondas?  Cuando tires tu microondas usa un tostador, jala casi igual de rápido y gasta lo mismo de luz.   Un horno de convección es aún mejor, mientras se cocina más rápido y de manera más uniforme y con su tostadito que es indispensable para panes y pizza!, también. (Hornos de convección son baratos, y tienen un ventilador que distribuye el calor de manera más uniforme. Casi tan rápido como un horno de microondas, y mucho más seguro!)

Adam and Eve sinned by deliberately breaking God’s law. So Jehovah put them out of the garden of Eden. Paradise was lost. (Genesis 3:1-6, 23) But Jehovah has not forgotten his purpose for this earth. God promised that Jesus would become the King of His Kingdom. (Luke 1:30-33) When Jesus was on earth, he proved that he would be a kind, just, and perfect Ruler.

When he returned to heaven, he was not enthroned as King of God’s Kingdom right away. (Hebrews 10:12, 13) In 1914, Jehovah gave Jesus the authority He had promised him. Since then, Jesus has ruled in heaven as Jehovah’s appointed King.—Daniel 7:13, 14.
